Disappointing Dior Sale

Dior sale is coming to an end. So did you go? If you are looking for eye shadow or lip gloss, you can go and take a look else forget about it.

I went yesterday and today. Yesterday I went around 12 noon, not much skin care available already. Only left with make up such as foundation (with limited shades), eye shadow, mascara, lip gloss or lip stick, perfume etc.

Quite disappointed with its skin care range. Believe some had been sold out. Hope next year will be better. Price range is like half price of the retail.

Helped my sister and colleague to get some stuff. For myself, I only got some makeup. Sad no blusher.

Here are what I bought.

Dior sale

Another office sales at Great World City.

Dior sales usually happen only once a year and items are usually selling at much lower. So if you are free, do drop by. And if want to grab real cheap deal come on the last day of the sales, the leftover products will be selling at much lower prices (no guarantee) like last year.

I'm broke so I can't buy anymore. The most if it is super cheap, what I will get is blusher as it running out. Lol.

Happy shopping. Cheers.

My advance Xmas gift

Yesterday went to Takashimaya as they are having extra 10% off for card holder. Wanted to get water bottle straw and Buds Mozzie Clear Lotion for my son.

Out of the blue, thought why not go and take a look at their watch section as have been looking around for a sport waych for my husband but still nothing catch my eye. However everything change when i saw this. Love it's colour and shape. Something different from the usual black and not too flashy. Just nice for hubby.

Furthermore, Not too expensive too. Usual price is S$139. After discount is less than S$115. So quite worth it. Anyway I gave it to my hubby already. Lol. And he loves it too. :)

Friday Kenzo Sales

So did you manage to go and get your stuff?

What are available? Homme and femme perfume, facial and body care and some gift sets but with limited range(s).

However I still manage to get my perfume. I bought a set with three bottles of 15ml perfume. Usual price at mall is S$105 but I only paid S$45. Rather good deal and Useful for me as I can carry it in my bag.

I bought its bamboo serum and form facial wash to try. Will review them when I try.

Actually it's body moisturize feels good. Non sticky after application. But don't wish to spend too much so didn't get them. Maybe next year I will buy and try. Haha.

Anyway now my colleagues and I are waiting for Dior sales, which we believe will be in mid of December. So do look out for my future sales post!!

Oh by the way, today Metro is having their card's member private sales at Paragon. Storewide 20% off. Have a great cool Xmas shopping weekends. Cheers.

Laptop cover

One of my best buy from G Market. A 11.6 inches dark brown laptop cover.

Material is quite spongy but not too thick and heavy. Quality is good and it fits my laptop nicely and the pockets are useful to store speakers, mouse, thumb drive etc.

Of course I do not really carry my laptop around. So it still looks as good as before.

Price, I cannot remember the exact price, should be around $15 to $20. Quite worthwhile. : )

Hydrating Skin Food Mask

Still remember I got Skin Food masks from G Market. Currently using one of them, call Skin Food Cucumber Soothing Mask. Now I am really into mask in tub as I will use them during my bath. Really quick and save time.

Usually I will use three different type of mask concurrently. A scrub, a clay and a hydrating mask. Today my review will be on a hydrating mask:

Skin Food Cucumber Soothing Mask Wash Off

Texture: Gel

Aroma: Light cucumber fragrance

Colour: Light greenish

Verdict: Neutral with this. Effect is not as great as sheet mask but this could be because I leave it on for less than 10 minutes. Whereas for sheet mask I use for 20 minutes or more. however I do not mind buying again or I may find other alternative.

Cheers.

Another mask: 2 in 1 Scrub mask.

The Body Shop - Honey & Oat 3 in 1 Scrub Mask

Got it during a sale but cannot remember how much is it. Have been wanting to try this but find The Body Shop mask rather expensive. Usual price for one is around S$20 to S$30 for 100 ml. Finally got this for less than S$20.

Also use this during my bath. Apply for 5 to 10 minutes after face wash. Then rub it and rinse.

Texture: Creamy with small particles

Aroma: sweet honey oat smell

Colour: Beige and brown for the particles

Verdict: like its fragrant. The scrub is very gentle so if you do not like rough scrub, this will be ideal. Very convenience as it is a combination of scrub and mask. Will buy again if I cannot find another good scrub mask but maybe during sales. Cheers.

The Body Shop Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask

Bought this mask for my husband as clay mask is good for oily skin. It will help to absorb oil, dirt etc. Last time I will do DIY clay mask but now too busy so buy ready mask instead. To save time. However my husband is too lazy to use it. So now I will use it during my bath. For about 10 minutes. Since I will only use for such a short period, usually I will apply a thin layer of it and let it dry. Thick layer will take longer to dry. While waiting for it to dry, it will have a warm effect.

Texture: Thick clay mixture

Aroma: strong clay smell

Colour: Gray

Verdict: i am neutral with it. Work like a normal clay mask but rather expensive. Cost more than S$25. Will only buy again if there is offer.

Clinique Chubby Stick

It has been awhile since I buy a lipstick because I always too lazy to apply it. However recently my lips seem paler and my ex-colleague keeps recommend Clinique's Chubby Stick. Telling me how nice and easy to use.

So I decided to give it a try. However I got no idea which color to choose. So i decided to give its gift set a try so that I can try some of its color. There are two types of gift set.

One of the set, the sticks are in original size and come in 3 shades. If I didn't remember wrongly DFS are selling less than S$70. The other one, the sticks are smaller in size but comes in 5 shades. Currently, there is a promotion on it. Usual is S$52, now is selling at S$48. Hong kong is selling at HK$330. Luckily I didn't buy at Hong kong.

Anyway I got the set with 5 shades. The color are 01 richer raisin (purplish brown), 05 chunky cherry (pinkish red), 07 super strawberry (dark pink), 12 oversized orange and 14 curvy candy (pink). Tried 3 out of the 5. They are quite moisturizing as lips will not feel dry and the colors are quite obvious. But don't expect the color to be super lasting. Till now I still cannot decide my favourite color. Lol.

Cheers.

My new card and hand phone holder

My office holder is dying soon so I'm starting to look for alternatives. As sometimes my outfits don't have any pocket so quite difficult to carry my hand phone, cards etc especially when I am carrying my naughty son.

So this time round instead of finding a card holder, I look for a hand phone casing with cards compartment. Not easy to find as I am looking for more of a pouch to hold my hand phone. Found one at Bugis but only in pink colour and cost more than S$20.

So went and search at G Market. Finally found one and costs less than $10 including mailing cost.

Received in less than a week and the quality is not too bad. Usable. My only worries is its main button. Let's see how long it can last. Anyway I also order another two with plastic covers from taobao.com during my visit to China. I believe one is the same holder and the other is a different brand. However still waiting for my mother to bring back as they have not arrive when I left China.

Can't wait to get hold of them. Cheers.

Kenzo perfume sales

I'm looking for a perfume for myself. Kenzo is one of my choice as I love the perfume's bottle design. Lol.

However I'm also looking at other choice such as Kiehl's and L'Occitane.

Tomorrow Kenzo is having a one day perfume sale. Just nice for me to take a look. :)

Btw Sitex 2012 is on! From today till 25th November. 11am to 9pm daily. It is at Singapore Expo hall 4B, 5 and 6. I will like to go but difficult to bring my son.

My one and only birthday gift

My birthday has came and gone for less than a month. This year celebration was rather simple. Maybe age is catching up, birthday seems less important and don't really want to celebrate much.

A meal with my husband and presents!!! Oops sorry this year only 1 present!! A Kate Spade bag. Not my usual style bag as it is rather small and formal. However I think I am lacking such bag. Rather useful when I have more formal functions. Of course I don't have much function but occasionally I will have wedding dinner to attend. And this bag will come useful!!!

Cheers. :)

My cooking

Every weekend if i do stay at home, I will try to cook for my husband and myself. As our area got limited "makan" place. However I prefer one dish meal as I am too lazy. Lol.

Thus usually I will boil soup. Easier to cook and I love soup. So I will add meat such as pork rib for my husband and vegetables for myself. Healthier too as less oil etc.

Here are some of my soup that I cook.

New shoes from Mitju

When Mitju is having 20% off for every 3 pairs of shoes purchase, I got 3 for myself. 1 pair is still waiting to be transfer over to the Bugis outlet. Anyway it is the same design as the left pair except it is in almond colour.

I find the shop at Bugis has limited designs. Think the 1 at Plaza Singapure is better! However it is not so convenient for me to go there. Maybe next time.

Anyway I have enough shoes for now. So now no more buying for me.

Cheers.

Wednesday I have meeting and work lunch so put on my current favourite jacket from G2000. I am also wearing a $10 blouse from Bugis street and an ankle blank pants. All my black belts are spoil so no choice but to use a red one.

Wish list: Black thin belt

I have not wear two piece skirt for awhile. So Tuesday I wore a black white strip skirt with a gray top and match them with a black cardigan. Not super nice, I guess but still ok. Lol.

Kiehl's products

Kiehl's is one of the brands I like most.  Because their prices are quite affordable and some products do help with my skin.

Some of my favourite Kiehl's products.

1. Acne Blemish Control Daily Skin-Clearing Treatment (Retail price about S$54)

I use this whenever my pimples, white and black heads are showing.  I feels it helps to minimize them.

2. Acai Damage-Repairing Serum (Retail price about S$84)

Like this light weight serum with a nice scent. And if you are a Kiehl's products users, you should know that their products are always lacking of fragrance!  Plus it is organic certified.  Paraben and silicone free too.

And my husband favourite is Ultra Facial Oil-Free Cleanser (Retail price S$43).  He feels this cleanser cleans his oily face well and yet not over drying.  But not much scent.

However, there are some products from Kiehl's that I will not use again as I do not find them useful.  They are Over-Night Biological Peel (Retail price more than S$100) and Double Strength Deep Line Filler (Retail price about S$72).  For the peel, I do not like its smell and secondly, I do like to have a layer of sticky stuff on my face while sleeping.  Whereas for the filler, maybe I did not use regularly thus there is not much effect on me.  And I am too lazy to apply so many products.

Lastly, here is a list of products that I will like to give it a try.

1. Rare Earth Pore Minimizing Lotion which supposes to help minimize and refine the look of pores.  And Amazonian White Clay helps to absorb excess oil.  That's sound what I need.

2. Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Masque also help to minimize the appreance of pores.  My ex-colleague wife loves this mask as she feels is very good.

3. Midnight Recovery Eye.  I am still looking for the right eye gel.  Will be trying Alba Botanica, Green Tea Eye Gel, 1 fl oz (30 ml) and see how it turns out.

4.  Midnight Recovery Concentrate.  My colleague said it helps to make her skin radiant.  But a bit worry as it is oil.  So still thinking about it.

Anyway need more information about Kiehls, do check out their website, http://www.kiehlstimes.com/.

Cheers.

VIP WEEK by MANGO: 20% OFF

I am not a Mango member so does it means if I get three items during this period, I can be a Mango member and entitle 20% off? I wonder! Anyway I got nothing in my wish list except shorts, which I do not often wear and pants but not so urgent. So maybe this time round, I will give it a miss.

Friday I went Katong I12 for the first time. Did not have the time to come so today on my way for my facial, I drop by. Maybe I expect too much but it is just a smaller shopping mall, with a number of expensive shops such as Contina Watch and Mount Blanc.

Anyway look for the day. Beige Mango tee top and Uniqlo navy blue chino 3/4 pants, currently my favourite causal bottoms.

Nature's Farm October Special Sales Event

Quite a good deal not to be missed. Especially if you got any supplement to get. However, I still got a number of fish oil in my fridge. So will give this a miss.

This bonus saver account gives 1.88% interest for deposit up to SGD twenty five thousand if every month you spend at least S$500 on its debit or credit card. If you are interested, do contact the bank. Think going to the branch or calling the hotline is faster. Cos no one contact me when I left my contact at the bank's web site!!

Lastly look for the day. Brown Esprit sweater with my black ankle pants.

 My comfort outfit!! Lol.

Of to pick my little monster. Have a good day. Cheers.

Omnisens Body Lotion

I have found a wonderful body lotion. However, I have no idea where I got this from. Could be from my husband's past business trip hotel stay.

I seldom use body lotion as I don't like the sticky after feeling. So most of the time, I will use them in office as a hand lotion. After using this, I am totally impress by it. Maybe I should bring home and try cos I seldom on air conditioner when I am back at home. Test whether there is any after feeling or not.

Omnisens Body Lotion

Texture: liquid Gel

Aroma: Smoothing and nice tea fragrant

Colour: Translucent to white

Verdict: I love it!! Not only it does not have sticky after feeling as it absorbs easily to skin. Skin also feels soft after application. Plus it is free from paraben, silicone and mineral oil. If I ever need a body lotion will definitely get this unless it is too expensive.

Also, look for the day.

This morning was quite cooling as has been raining. So took out my long sleeve gray strip Gap tops that was left in my cupboard for awhile. Match it with a black knee length skirt as the ground are all wet. Don't want to dirty my pants.

However, when I go out for lunch, it was back to hot and sunny. Sigh. Still thought cool weather has finally comes! Boo. So drink more water and take care.

Cheers.

Look for the day

My weekend outfit!

White tank top with light blue crop pants from Uniqlo. Regret this light pants as it get dirty easily by my son stepping when we are on a bus. That time when I am buying this pants, I am thinking between this or a black white checker. Thought a light one will make me look "fuller". So do I look "fatter"?  Lol.

Anyway after this, I did found my favourite weekend bottom. It is a navy blue 3/4 chino pants also from Uniqlo. Comfort and easy to match with. Will take picture when I wear them.

Cheers.

Look for the day

I hope today's photos are better than yesterday.

Today is navy blue sleeveless top with dark gray ankle pants. To spice up the outfit, I add the silver necklace with a black cardigan.

Of course to make it slightly formal, I should wear heels instead of flats but today is Friday. So time to relax!!!

Cheers.

Look for the day

A post on what I have been wearing. However pictures' quality are not too great as I usually take them in office toilet when I have more spare time. So do bear with it.

Today's outfit. Black dress from Finding Dressabelle with black Bega 3/4 soft jacket and black Charles & Keith sandles. : )

So how do you find it?? Cheers.

Depress week

Last Thursday i got an important meeting and I forget to bring my jacket! So I have no choice but to buy jacket. Saw some nice jackets at G2000 but each costs S$119. At first, I thought I can use my husband membership and get a 10% discount. But now member NRIC must be present in order to entitle member discount. Since G2000 is having 50% off for second item purchased so in the end, I got TWO jackets to entitle the discount. Sigh.

I bought a navy blue and a gray jacket. My wish list is getting shorter and my bank balance is shrinking too. The worst thing is that the jacket needs to be dry clean. Waste money again.

Plus I spent money at the Kose sales too. So what did I get? I have not take pictures of them. I got two two way cake, one eye brow pencil, one blusher, one bkack mascara and a wrong dark brown eye liner. Actually I wanted to get the black one. Too rush!! In total, I spent less than S$70.

Lastly I also bought the Nike bag because last night I dreamt that the bag I like is sold out when I decided to buy. Then after considering its quality, size and design, the former lose out to the others.

Feeling depress now cos really spend too much money. Some more in October I need to pay my annual insurance premium!!! A moody week and weekend. Time to devote my time on others than shopping. :p

Wednesday, September 26, 2012

Kose sales

Finally Kose sales is back. Time to stock up my make up which is running low. I am eyeing on eye brow pencil and two way cake! Face blusher and mascara, still thinking?

Ah bad luck keeps follow me. Still remember the backpack I bought last Friday? The leather starts peeling and my husband has threw away the receipt. So we have to find another backpack. Today happen to see Nike at Great World City is having storewide 20% moving out sales. So went to check out its backpack and saw one quite nice. But I am still hesitating to buy because really spend way to much. So what do you think?

Monday, September 24, 2012

Spend, spend and spend!!

I'm dead! I spend money again. Recently I bought an online navy blue pants from Love, Bonito. But turn up not so great. Quite disappointed (so not in the mood to take its picture), my first pants purchase with them turns up so bad. Anyway bad things again online purchase is that sometimes what you buy does not really suit you. Anyway something for me to remember, corp and high waist pants do not suit me.

Then Saturday brought my son to pick up his passport so after that went Bugis to shop for awhile. Saw Little Match Dress having promotion again. Each dress costs S$39.90 but minimal must purchase two dresses. My husband says it is a good deal so try some dresses. Finally i got my "grey"dress.

Free Cardigan

However, just when i decided to pay for the two dresses, the sales person said member who buy three dresses will get a free cardigan. So went ahead and chose one more! Ah the saddest thing is that my husband didn't often to pay for me. So sad.

Ah really should stop spending money anymore. Oh Friday my husband and I bought another back pack from Zinc as we find it more convenience to bring our son out. My husband not willing to spend another S$100 on another bag and he says Zinc is good and cheap. However now each bag costs around S$50. We got it for S$59.90. Design wise is quite nice just Hope it lasts.

So what else on my wish list:
1. Earphone (my husband bought iPhone 5 earphone for me. Costed S$42)
2. Dark gray or navy blue jacket
3. Navy blue pants (for the time being I will wear the corp pants for Love, Bonito so meanwhile do not need any navy blue pants)
4. Formal lasting bag (actually don't really this need for the time being, can use and spoil existing bags that I got)
5. Black or beige Flats shoes (mine tends to spoil easily as I walk quite a lot)
6. Clarins sunblock
7. A new hair cut and color
8. Facial
9. Shorts
10. Wristlet

I guess thats all for the time being actually I don't really lack of anything. Haha.

Happy moon cake festival. Cheers.

More food

After my last post, I have been thinking of all those foods that I miss. I also miss my family's weekend walk. Now we tried to stay in m...
