FOUR SIMPLE STEP ROUTINE

By RMK's international make-up artist....

-Slather on sunscreen

-Apply make-up base

-Give lashes a coat of mascara

-Draw eyebrows

All these should not take you more than 8 minutes.

Make-up base will even out your complexion and gives you a good canvas on which to build your make-up later.

Shaping your brows will define and sharpen the contours of your face.

Mascara opens up your eyes, which tend to be puffy in the morning.

What about you? What is your most basic routine?

For me, I will moisturise my face, apply sunscreen and concealer, draw eyebrows, apply lipgloss, curl my eye lashes and I am ready to go. (You can imagine how ugly I look in the morning. Lol) Think all these will take around 8 to 10 minutes. Quick fast right!!! I am just a plain lazy girl..... haha....

5 Simple Steps to Glowing Skin

1. Always wear sunscreen.

Even on cloudy days. Between 12 to 4pm (hottest part of the day), try to avoid the sun or UV exposure. Doctors advise a minimum of SPF15 daily and be sure your sunscreen has UVA/AVB protection.

2. Eat and drink right.

Liquid ensure the suppleness and elasticity of your skin. Try to drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water a day. If not, eat plenty of raw vegetables, fruit and moisture-rich foods. Our body needs vitamins and fatty acids, like Vitamins A, E and Omega 3 and 6, found in foods with healthy fats like salmon, olives and avocados.

3. Find the right skincare regime.

Maintaining skin daily is the most important parts of its health. 1st, cleanse twice a day to remove impurities and let skin breathe. Then tone to remove residue and close pores to prevent further loss of moisture. Most crucially, moisturise. It will help to prevent wrinkles and an uneven complexion, protect skin from environmental damage and nourish and rehydrate skin.

4. Sweat it out.

Stress, tension and anxiety all cause break-outs. Manage it with regular exercise. Endorphins, which are released after exercise, increase blood flow and give you a healthy flush, as well as increasing energy levels and provides a general feeling of well-being.

5. Get eight hours sleep.

Lack of sleeps shows up first on your face - dark circles and sagging skin. Sleep helps the body repair and rejuvenate itself.

Out of the five, I only managed to do the first three. I know a few week ago I am still blogging about my weekend exercise. However, currently don't feel that great plus often play online game so do not enough time for it and sometimes lack of sleep too. I guess is time to cut down on my online game and be health conscious or else my face will not get better (which is the most important thing!).

God's Amazing Pharmacy

Interesting article on how God ensure healthful living by leaving us with some clues as to which foods we shall eat to keep specific parts of our body healthy!

A sliced carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye. And yes, science now confirms that carrots greatly enhance blood flow to our eyes.

The tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart has four chambers and is red. Research shows that tomatoes are loaded with lycopine, a wonderful heart and blood food.

A walnut looks like a little brain, with left and right hemispheres, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds on a walnut are like the neo-cortex. We now know that walnuts help develop more than three (3) dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.

Kidney beans help heal and maintain kidney function and, yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.

Celery, bok choy, and rhubarb look like bones. These foods target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don't have enough sodium in your diet, the body pulls it from the bones, making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.
Avocados, eggplant and pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female, and they look just like these organs. Research today shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week, it balances her hormones, helps shed unwanted birth weight, and helps prevent cervical cancers. How profound is this? It takes nine (9) months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).

Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. Figs increase the mobility of male sperm and increase the numbers of Sperm as well to overcome male sterility.

Sweet potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic index of diabetics.

Olives assist the health and function of the ovaries

Oranges, grapefruits, and other citrus fruits look like the mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.

Onions look like the body's cells. Today's research shows onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes. A working companion, garlic, also helps eliminate waste materials and dangerous free radicals from the body.

Now I know what I must eat often.... You also don't forget...

FM Radio Remote Control for iPod Classic

One thing bad about iPod is that it does not come with radio. Still remember I got a free second hand iPod Classic from Simple girl's diary: Recycle iPod love it very much but just don't have radio function. I quite like radio because they have wide variety of songs plus all the news update. When they stop playing radio online, I was very sad and disappointed.

I cannot take it anymore yesterday after work, I went to EpiCentre @ Wheelock Place to check out iPod Classic's FM Radio remote control. You know what, it costs SGD89 or 99. It is so expensive and I am still thinking whether to buy it or not because I often spoil my ear phone and it is just an extension of an ear phone. Ah I am in dilemma, should I buy????

Have you heard about kombucha tea?

I never heard of it until I saw an Internet article on it. It says that it will help to restore skin's natural radiance as well as firm and tone. Celebrities often spot drinking kombucha tea. Wow new stuff, very interesting. Time to find out more…..

Description
Kombucha is a probiotic, microbiological food. It helps regenerate the bowel flora and is excellent for well being. It is a living health drink made by fermenting tea and sugar with the kombucha culture.

It is alternately known as a Chinese tea, a plant, or a mushroom. But it's not really any of these. It's a living culture of beneficial microorganisms. Kombucha is delicately cultured – some leave it to fermentation - for 7 to 14 days. During this period, essential nutrients form like active enzymes, viable probiotics, amino acids, antioxidants and polyphenols. All of these combine to create an elixir that immediately works with the body to restore balance and vitality. It has been used for hundreds of years throughout the world as a daily health tonic.

Kombucha apparently evolved from plant organisms over 2.5 billion years ago. People have been preparing and making a fermented tea drink for over 2000 years for many centuries. The fact that is still here today is a testimonial in itself and that millions of people throughout world for centuries have found it to have great value.

What is it made of?
Kombucha is a popular health promoting beverage and natural folk remedy made by fermenting tea. Kombucha is a colony or culture of yeast and other microorganisms embedded in a pure cellulose "pancake (beige or white rubbery)." The culture is called a SCOBY, Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria & Yeast. The culture resembles a light brown, tough, gelatinous disk and because it's a living, growing entity, it can regenerate and create new cultures with every batch.

When the "pancake" is grown in a blend of black or green tea and sugar, it transforms the liquid into a refreshingly lightly sparkling, sweet and sour drink with a fruity fragrance full of health giving acids and nutrients. The Kombucha culture feeds on the sugar and, in exchange, produces other valuable substances which change into the drink: glucuronic acid, glucon acid, lactic acid, vitamins, amino acids, antibiotic substances, 0.5% to 1% alcohol is produced as well as other products. In addition, Kombucha contains natural anti-bacterial properties that can prevent the presence of unfavorable microbial growth. The Kombucha culture is, therefore, a real tiny biochemical factory.

However, there is always two side of a story. I also saw some articles that said serious side effects and occasional deaths have been associated with drinking Kombucha tea. Hmm, sound scary. I am not too sure whether I will try this tea but if I happen to see this product selling in Singapore, maybe I will give me a try. Will you???

Current Status

Sorry been busy working and playing game. What game??? My friend just introduced me a online game called Dragonica and I am spending much more time on it. Plus this is my first online game thus rather excited about it and require more time to explore it. Really enjoy the killing of monsters, kind of de-stress after a hard time in the office. Plus is free!!!

Beside playing game, I am also trying to pack my room. Is a long process, hope I can complete it soon. Currently, getting new A4 size boxes from office to repack my existing boxes. At the same time, need to give or throw away all unwanted stuff. Thinking of selling my unwanted stuff in Community Center's monthly flea market ( if I manage to pack all). No idea how long will this process last. Hope by my birthday in October I can complete part of them. Haha.

My New Coach Bag

Yesterday I received a Coach bag from a friend. Feel bad cos he spends $$ for it. Anyway the damage has been done, there is nothing I can do. His birthday is coming, maybe I will get a better gift for me??

Actually I quite like this bag when I saw it. Though of buying but just not willing to spend money. It is a sale item and cost SGD500+++++ after discount. Anyway I love such design even my dream LV bag that I mentioned in my previous blog on

Simple girl's diary: My Good Friend's Motto has similar design. However I don't think I will ever get that bag anymore as I don't want to use the same bag as my friend.

Last Friday Chinatown purchase!

In less than a hour at Chinatown, I spent SGD130 on the above items. Some are for my friends and family. Actually don't really seem a lot but real heavy. They are still stuck in office as I am too lazy to bring home. Sometimes I will bring back a few item that I am in need.
Looking at the picture, you can tell I am a fan of Dettol's products. Got shower gels, powder and air freshener.
Hope they can last me for a few months. Hmm maybe I need to go get my toothbrush..... Oh spend $$$ again....

Yummy Donuts

Donut Empire at Raffles Place's OUB Centre. Been there???

Look real nice and yummy but don't know is it I bought them in the evening thus not very fresh. My friends said I must try others then I can tell which one is better. Many years ago I tried Donut Factory but can't remember the taste anymore. Maybe one day I will try again and J.Co as they got so many outlet. Seems very popular. So what about you, what's your view?
