3. Eye-Area Preparations

Kiehls's Line-Reducing Eye-Brightening Concentrate
Description
This line-reducing concentrate is formulated for the eye area and contains a high concentration of 10.5% Pure Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid) known for its affinity with skin and its powerful ability to improve the appearance of skin aging. With Haloxyl, this formula helps to reduce the appearance of under-eye dark circles, helping to brighten the overall eye area for a fresher appearance. With continued use, our treatment helps address some of the more serious signs of skin aging with a significant effect on sub-orbital wrinkles and crows feet. A high dosage of Vitamin C, when applied topically, has been shown to have a multitude of positive effects on the skin's appearance. Kiehl's chemists found a way to formulate and stabilize Pure Vitamin C at high levels in a safe and highly efficacious form to maximize the benefits of the ingredient.

Skin Concern:
Eye area skin shows signs of fatigue and sallowness with undereye dark circles prominent
Crows feet and suborbital wrinkles are apparent
Skin creypeness (thinning of skin) is noticeable

Ingredients:
Bitter Orange
Bitter orange possesses a complex chemical makeup. Of particular value is the oil that is extracted from the petal of the bitter orange tree and is particularly effective at stimulating cutaneous tone. Bitter Orange is also known as Bigarade Orange or Neroli.

Haloxyl™
This new, patented ingredient improves skin around the eye area by stimulating natural enzymes that help strengthen under-eye area capillaries. Studies demonstrate the effectiveness of Haloxyl™ and its ability to increase skin density to better support the microvascular network in eye area skin and alleviate inflammation.

Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid)
VAI-tuh'-mihn SEE
Known for its affinity with skin and its powerful ability to improve the appearance of skin aging. 10.5% of Pure Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid) is the key ingredient in the Kiehl’s Dermatologist Solutions product Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate.

Texture: Gel
Aroma: No much smell
Colour: White
Verdict: Lightweight, almost feel nothing on my skin. Actually I quite like this and may continue using, but I wonder why I always feel slight prickling after applying to it my eye area. Will continue monitor and also check with its consultant.

4. Moisturizers

Renaissance of Switzerland - Derma Control Base

Verdict: Lightweight, feel cooling after applying and non-sticky. My skin will feel smooth. Like it very much. Currently I am using samples from my beautician and it is going to finish soon. So thinking whether to buy or not but quite expensive. SGD78 for 50ml. Other moisturizers that I have in mind are Body Shop's Tea Tree Oil Mattifying Moisture Gel and Seaweed Mattifying Face Moisture Lotion SPF15 or Kiehls's Yerba Maté Tea Lotion.

5. SunScreen

Biore UV Perfect Face Milk SPF50

Superior lightweight UV block for face, Matt Effect. Provides long-lasting UV protection of SPF50+/ PA+++. It has an ultra light, non-sticky texture. Also an ideal makeup base, it contains Sebum-absorbing powder to give you that matt look and keep skin shine-free.

Texture: Liquid
Aroma: Light scent
Colour: White
Verdict: Non greasy, no white residue, face feel matte after applying. I like this very much, cheap and good. However after reading someone review stating that this causes her face to develop some bumps (which look like my whiteheads), I feel pretty sad. And you know what, I have already bought a bottle of Biore UV Bright Face Milk (a different range) as my current bottle is finishing soon. Still I will continue using it and monitor the progress.
