Sasa's Beauty Fair

There has been an on-going beauty fair at Great World City by Sasa but not sure when it will end.  I understand from my colleague, it started since last week.

Anyway I love the Silk Whitia's sheet mask, will do its review shortly.  Now it costs S$1.95 per sheet, usual price is S$5.90 each.  So if you want to try them, do go and get them!  Cheers.

My Experience at Clarins's Facial

Yesterday I went and try Clarins's facial at Wheelock Place.

Took some photos but not too sure, can or not.

Waiting lounge

Testing area
The whole place is so clean and has a refreshing smell.

Treatment room

At the beginning, the therapist will relax my body so that I am able to absorb better with the skincare.  Then she will remove my makeup and then facial.  Shoulder and hand massage are also provided.  Half way through the facial, I fell asleep.  Too smoothing.

I really enjoy the facial but do not think will sign its package as it is quite expensive.  Each treatment is about S$130.  However do not mind going again when there is promotion.

So if you do not like or do not an extraction and want a good, relaxing facial, try Clarins.

Cheers.

Facial Time!

Another time off day.

Going to try out Clarins's facial as my voucher is going to expire soon.

Even with the voucher, I find it quite expensive.  S$100 for a hour facial without extraction.  However, I feel that it is a waste if I did not give it a try.

Hope I will have an enjoyable time.  Maybe after it, will go Bugis Street and have my shopping therapy again!!

Cheers.

My New Diary

A gift from my nephew, during his trip to China.

A time for myself

Last last Thur took some time off to go, search for my husband's birthday gift, which I have thinking for awhile. Cannot really decide what to get for him. Finally decided on belt and found the prefect one.

Hope he will like it.

Then went Bugis street to have my own dose of shopping.

My Achievement! Lol

Got two tops. The white strip top costed S$5 only.

And two pairs of flats. Find wearing flats are so much easier and comfortable when I am bring my boy around.

After all these walking, took a rest and had a cup of coffee while waiting for my husband to knock off. What an enjoyable day!!!

Cheers.

L'Occitane

I am always a fan of L'Occitane. Their products always look so tempting, well packaging and smell so wonderful but I just cannot seem to find a range that suit and work well on me and most importantly within my budget.  The last item I bought from them is this Immortelle Milk Make-up Remover and below is a review on it.

L'occitane Immortelle Milk Make-up Remover

Cost: S$33 to 36 (bought it at DFS so should be slightly cheaper than retail price but I think they may have stop this)

Texture: Watery lotion

Aroma: Floral fragrance

Colour: White
Ingredients

Verdict: Find it quite normal and a bit watery.  A number of times accidentally get into my eyes. It could be I am too clumsy. I do not think will buy again if the product still in the market. As it works like other normal cream or lotion makeup remover.  Currently also using Biore Hydra-Clear Makeup Remover, will review shortly.

Cheers.

Paul & Joe Promotion

I love Paul and Joe's packages, lots of flower.  However, do not think I need any makeup at the moment so will skip this.

So if you need new makeup and old lip stick to throw, why not head down to P&J counter.

Cheers.  Have fun shopping!!

Last Weekend Spending

Last week really spend a lot.  A summary of what I spent.

Thursday, went to Tangs as they are having 12% rebates.  Bought Kiehl’s Oil-Free Ultra Facial Oil-Free Cleanser and Gel Cream to share and try with my husband.  Also bought Double Strength Deep Wrinkle Filler to try on my neck.  Not to forget, I bought a CK tie for my husband.

Charles & Keith's Sunglasses
Friday, bought a pair of sunglasses from Charles and Keith as it is having sales.  Usual price is about S$50, now is only S$37.

Beside sunglasses, I also get a tube of Physiogel cream for my son.  My husband and I find this cream very effective on my son’s sensitive skin.  During my son’s first few months, he has eczema on his cheek and they are quite bad.  We didn’t know what to do and things looked quite depressed.  Once doctor even prescribed mild steroid cream for him but I don’t really want to use it on him.  My husband happened to read some parents used this Physiogel cream and it is quite effective.  We decided to try on our boy and his cheeks improved.  Two weeks ago, he was bitten by some insets and all swollen.  Now they are no longer swollen but there are still markings so we want to try applying the cream.  Hope it will help.

Oh my colleague’s friend has further discount had DFS so I ordered Estee Lauder’s Idealist and Lancome Maquicake UV Infinité Everlasting Compact Foundation Translucent radiance - Soft Finish with SPF 20 / PA++.  I didn’t try Idealist before but one of my colleague who try massaging it on her neck and her lines are not so obvious.  After hearing it, I decided to give it a try.  Over the weekend I got some from my sister.  Maybe the new bottle I will give it to my sister and I just get some from her as and when I need it.

Saturday I didn’t get anything but Sunday I bought things again. I went Wastons as POSB's Everyday card got 6% rebates and some makeup brands such as Maybelline are having promotion. Buy 2 get 1 free. The free item is the lowest value of the three. So I got a new product, Clear Smooth All In One Shine Free Cake Powder from Maybelline's Clear Smooth range and two Mineral Power Concealers.

Wow I really spend a lot, must control my spending. This month still got so many birthday, farewell etc...  Time to tighten my wallet.
Cheers.

Office use cream

My office lotions
What sort of hand cream or body cream do you use in the office?  Do you specially buy hand cream for usage?  Not for myself.

During Christmas, I will usually receive a number of either body or hand lotions.  I will just use them in the office.  Sometimes facial or eye cream or even serum that I do not really like, I will use them on certain part of my body especially drier area such as knee, ankle or elbow.

I seldom apply body lotion at home as I have to carry my baby around and by night time, I am too lazy to apply them.  So I will usually bring a number of body or unused skin care lotion/cream/serum to office and use them.  Beside applying on hand, sometimes I will also apply on my legs or feet.  To keep them from dryness since during the day, I am in air con room most of the time.

So is it OK to use in such way?

Lip balm

Vaseline has always been my choice of lip balm cos it is cheap and effective.  Usually I will apply it on its own or before my lipstick as to protect my lips.  Costs about $3.20 and it lasts a long time. However it has a limited choice of flavours. Only two flavours: blue is original and pink for cherry.

Recently I bought one more lip balm from Burt's Bee to try. Actually wanted to try it's Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil as it has very good review on it. However it was sold out at Sephora! In the end, got the Rejuvenating Lip Balm with Acai Berry, which is still available in store.  Burt's Bee's Lip balm is really popular and more variety.  My male colleague is also using it.  He prefers it over Kiehl's, which costs more than Burt's Bee.

Ingredients of Acai Berry Lip Balm: rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, tocopherol, glycine soja (soybean) oil, canola oil (huile de colza), limonene, linalool *natural flavor **acai berry

It has a sweet smell and works well too.  However find the price is a bit steep as compare to Vaseline. I cannot remember the price but believe it costs almost double of Vaseline's.

Will I buy the Burt's Bee lip balm again?  Maybe, maybe not.  Maybe will try out other brands.  What about you?  What sort of lip balm do you use?

Back to write

I am back. I miss my own blog. Hope I can spare more time writing my interest - skin care, shopping, fashion etc.

Last week I am back with my sample testing again. I have not been trying out new products as I am busy taking care my newborn. My first, so very inexperience. After more than eight months, life are quite back to normal. However there will not be as much picture as last time as most of the time I am using my iPhone to blog.

Last Friday, I got hold of some samples from Raffles City's Robinson Clarins and Kiehl's. Felt Clarins is more generous with their samples. I got Shaping Facial Lift Lipo-drain Serum, Multi-Active Skin Renewal Serum, Multi-Active Day Early Wrinkle Correction Cream-Gel, Multi-Active Night Youth recovery Cream and finally, Advance Extra-Firming Neck Cream to try. Actually my intention is to get some neck cream and serum from its hydrating range.

Currently my primary concern is my neck area as more lines had developed so trying new products to reduce the lines' appearance. But the kind Clarins's beauty specialist shared more with me. Haven't see such warm service for a long time.

Anyway I will be back there to get Clarins's product if I like and find it suitable for my skin. In case you do not know, Robinson also has direct 20% discount for Clarins product on and off. Can't wait!!!

Cheers.
