Dad's work trip

My husband travelled to Stockholm for work.  However due to my work schedule, I cannot go with him.  What a waste as my eldest is having school holiday too.

Nevertheless, we had fun in Singapore.

1st night we went to my mother's place to stay overnight.  My nephew treat us Mao Sha Wong mooncake.

Yummy.

I cannot take full week off but I took a few days to accompany the kids especially the eldest.

Our first Monopoly game.  A good game to train kid on mathematics and budgeting.

That's the end of our 1 week dad-less adventure.  Frankly speaking, we did not do much for this time round as I was not feeling that great.

Hope next holiday we can explore more.

Adventure Cove Singapore

My kids love playing with water so when i happened to have free tickets to Adventure Cove, we immediately planned to go and have fun.

I did not take a lot of pictures because quite difficult to use mobile phone in the water. 

I feel the crowd at Adventure Cove is not as bad as Tampines Hub swimming pool.  And my kids enjoy walking in the lazy river.  Maybe they are not as adventure as most other kids but i think they enjoy themselves.  Maybe when they are older, we can explore on others.

Movie night at Our Tampines Hub

Saw Tampines Hub's facebook, every now and then there will be movie night.  Saw they would be showing battleship.  I love it.  Though bring the kids.  My eldest got too much works.  Primany 1 student is really hard.

Promised my youngest so I bought her along.

Here we are. Quite crowded.

We only watched for awhile.  Then we went explore the area as we seldom came OTH in the night.

There were still people practising soccer.

I hope 1 day i can really come here and watch a movie.  It is quite similar like going to a cinema but more kampong feel.  And is free! Haha.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

I heard many good beneficials about extra virgin olive oil so I thought why not buy one and use it at home.  Some of the pros of extra virgin olive oil are high in monounsaturated fats, load with antioxidants and there are anti-inflammatory agents.

So I found one from Ntuc supermarket.  Naturel organic extra virgin olive oil.  Costs around $11.

It has been awhile since i stir fry.  So decided to use this olive oil to stir fry the below ingredients.  Quite my usual ingredients.

If you compare with boiling soup, stir fry is faster. However there will be more work at the cleaning up.

Luckily the kids love it.  Hope i will do more when i am free.

I also like to dip my french toast in it with balsamic vinegar.  Very appetizing and not much clean up.

If only cooking need no preparation and cleaning up, i may cook more often.  Haha.

Home made Poke Bowl

My sister's DIY poke bowls for the family.

A lot of preparation works to be done.  Yummy and healthy.  Love it. However don't think i will do it at home, too much work.  Haha.

Rotimatic

My nephew is helping a friend to take picture of this machine, Rotimatic.  It makes roti with just some oil, water and flour. Very little human intervention.

Amaze with it.  The texture and taste are not bad.  Really hot from the oven.  Cautious note: the machine can be very hot, so do be careful! And must make sure the machine is clean from any dough as it will prevent the machine from functioning properly.  I think the clean up is the worst part.

Very innovative and popular product. Healthy food for all.  Costs around $1,800.  Actually there is a waiting list is you are interested in buying it.  I do not think i Will buy cos i am too lazy for the clean up! Haha.

DIY Zumba dance

I often see my friend with her parents and kids go zumba dance.  Great exercise for all.  Thought of bringing my kids but cannot find a suitable timing for us.

One Sunday morning, thought why not we dance while watching the you tube dance video.

So here we are trying out.  Was quite fun.  But I think i should put cushion mat as we are not wear shoes to cushion our movement.  Zumba outdoor is better for the feet as people wear shoes. So the feet are cushion.  At home we can't really wear shoes to dance so not very good.

Will look out for events where i can bring my kids.  Hope we can make it!

Art festival and I'm Kim Korean BBQ

During one of the Saturday, we have a gathering with my friends and kids.  We walked passed the night festival along SMU.  Very crowded eventhough it is still early.

Yummy foods stall.

Night live performance.  Even my youngest are shaking with the music.

Have been awhile since we have korean bbq.  Long queue.  Waited at least half hour for seat.

Have an enjoyable time.  Each adult cost around $30 and child $20.

Playing CPF game at bus stop.

Simple weekend with friends.  Cheers.
